| by al date Here in California, we are just discovering Lovejoy, which is running on some PBS stations. Of course, we have been exposed to plenty of excellent BBC shows over the years, so a series like this should be an easy sell to the non-commercial crowd. Maybe we will get enough donations to run the whole series. I am hooked, a shameless proselyte and addict to all things Lovejoy. And I neither collect antiques nor do I read romance novels. I love the show for the sheer magic created by its actors. My only question is rather esoteric. In the episode where Lovejoy finds an old rifle that was owned by Ulysses Grant (to sell to a rich Texan to bail out Lovejoy's friend the gunsmith), he refers to Grant as "hero of the Appomatix" but the word Appomatix seems to have been dubbed over some other word. More than once in that episode. I am wondering what word was in the original script. Comment on this... |

| by Sandy Legasey Absolutely love Mr. McShane in Lovejoy. Out of all his works this is the best there is. I have almost every film he ever made and find as he matures he just keeps getting better and better. Comment on this... |
