| by JP Recently, after 30some years, I decided to sit down and watch the Exorcist again. In no way did I think it would scare me now as it did when I was a kid. I was assuming that I was much more sophisticated and that movie and film had left me desensitized to fear.... I was dead wrong. I think much of the fear is felt because the group of actors/actresses in the movie are all so real and believable..notably Father Damian Karras played by Jason Miller. I was just mesmorized by his performance and his depth. No one could have played that part with the passion and experience he seems to rend to it!! Very intense and very handsome too. I am sorry that he has passed away but I was glad to see that he had accomplished so much success with his life (I never really saw him in any other movies that I knew of). But now I see that he was quite successful as a playwrite and stage actor. But really, it seems that he should have recieved more notoriety than he did but maybe that was not his forte, not his style. Cool guy!!! Comment on this... |

| by Jenna I am from Scranton. I recall, while I worked at Farley's and W.T. Hackets Brewing company (which is now closed down), I waited on Jason Miller everyday that I worked. Mostly mornings. He'd order the same drink with a glass of ginger ale. While writing or visiting with his son Josh Miller. Jason has been a true inspiration to me when it came to writing my own poetry. For a long yime I was not writing at all. I showe Jason some of my writing and that's when he told me to not stop! To keep trying to write all that I can since writing is a very good way of letting a lot of issues in our life off our chests. When I was told that he passed away doing what he wanted to do before he passed away, I was very deeply saddened. I will always miss our talks and our little poetry lessons and sessions! He will always be in my heart and soul and mind! I will never forgot such a wonderful man! So that everyone knows, when I first met Jason Miller, I didn't know who he was until a few months later. Isn't that something! Comment on this... |

| by Colleen Raye Hollar Jason Miller holds a special place in my heart. Not only do we share the same astrological sign (Taurus) and many interests, but his work has been truly inspiring. I can pursue my goals and dreams with a passion because his story is so remarkable. His hard work paid off, and his legacy endures. I have composed many drawings and paintings in his honor, and am pursuing my own acting/writing career. His loved ones are in my thoughts, and I hope that they are doing fine. While 'The Exorcist' udoubtly remains his most famous acting role, there are others that deserve praise, although the films ithemselves were not always recommendable. He was a talent that deserved more. His writing style was utterly unique and helped put many in touch with their own emotions. Paul Sorvino's bust of Jason is such a heartfelt tribute, and deserves a place of honor in Scranton. He will be missed. Comment on this... |

| by Jennifer I have seen some, but not all of the films in which Jason Miller appeared. His portrayal of Father Karras in "The Exorcist" was absolutely wonderful. Jason emoted the priest's inner turmoil so beautifully. I would have liked to see him have the opportunity to play many other roles; roles which truelly reflected his talent. He was also remarkably handsome. I am sad he is no longer with us. Comment on this... | ||||
