Enjoyed this drama (aka strange relations)given a second screening on British tv tonight.
Since it was based (however loosely) on a true story, didn't understand why it left the audience guessing as to the outcome of the bone marrow transplant.
Surely a sentence written at the end could have enlightened us?!

Yes, My Beautiful Son (aka Strange Relations in the USA) got it's idea from a true story, but orginally the man seeking his adopted family didn't have any siblings. That's where the wonderful creativity of Mr. Tim Kazurinsky took over. I LOVED this movie and it really doesn't need an outcome to understand the true meaning ... One should walk away from this beautiful script knowing that Dr. Jerry Lipman's life is so much better now for finding love and meaning to his life. (Now, you can write the ending however you wish !!!)
