| by patrice I travelled to Melbourne from the seething metropolis of Ballarat just to see Marcel on the big screen (in "Layer Cake"), and loved it. Although he was only on for a couple of minutes in 3 scenes, it was worth the trip and the cinema ticket. I thought him magnificent in Hart's War and loved his role in the Peace Maker and I've seen him in a couple of Romanian films that Alice sent me, but it's wonderful to see him on the cinema screen. Layer Cake is a great film by the way, I loved it. Watch out for Daniel Craig. Comment on this... |

| by patrice I have been contacted by Alice, a Romanian who has kindly sent me lots pictures of Marcel Iures and has actually gone the trouble to procure his autograph for me when she went to see him at the ACT Theatre in Bucharest (which she does regularly - Oh, for a moment in her shoes!!). Alice also has created a group/site on Marcel where anyone is welcome to join and contribute opinions and info on the site. It is: www.marcel_iures@yahoogroups.com There is a wonderful photo gallery and pictures of the great man from his various film roles and from his appearances at the ACT Theatre. Alice has gone to quite a bit a trouble and her site is worth a look for any admirer of Marcel. And of course I love her dearly for my autograph (he even wrote MY name on it!!!). Not in a play as I intended but part of an art discussion with public that took place today and i was happy to be there in that small theater room of ACT! There doesn't seem to be a great deal, apart from film roles. Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who is willing to part with any info. | by Alice I'm amazed that are so many foreign people here expressing their admiration for Marcel Iures , I guess my favourite Romanian actor of all that I know and seen as I'm Romanian too!And I'm also glad that I'm not the only one who finds him very attractive! I wish I could meet him someday....which could happen as we live in the same country but how I wish I could talk with him! Two or 3 years ago my father so him at a gass station!
