Possibly the best mini-series ever to be on television. Richard Jordan is outstanding in the lead role. I keep waiting for it to come to DVD. If you get a chance to see it you will find some fine performances by other actors and actresses you are familiar with. The box set is available on VHS if you look around a bit.
