| by lee by Mariel On the Cory Bio Pic: If the Aquinos feel that Ms. Cuneta is the right person to portray their mother. So be it. It's their prerogative. And should Ms. Cuneta accepts the challenge, I say good luck to her. And if she can convince us that she is Cory with her performance, then my congratulations. It would be a great accomplishment on her part. However, before that happens, she should start studying Cory as early as now by watching videos of her. She might not realize it but she is actually going to portray someone who was very visible and popular, unlike her Lilian Velez before, who was virtually an unknown. And unlike the commercial films that she is used to of doing, wherein she can give her own interpretation of the character. In Bio Pic, one has to be as accurate as possible even to the tiniest detail. Look at Helen Mirren in "The Queen", or Ben Kingsley in "Gandhi" or even Angelina Jolie in "A Mighty Heart". Aside from making sure they resemble their subject, they go as far as following their mannerism in talking, walking, even the way they dress up. It would be interesting to see how Ms. Cuneta will mimic Cory's mannerism when talking. If you notice, when Cory talks her lower lip tends to move to the right, just like Noynoy. I would also be interesting to see how the make-up and costume team make Ms. Cuneta look like Cory. Whoever will be assigned to that task, is in for a great challenge. On Kris Aquino: I like her as a Host because she really is good at it. But as a person, she is not someone you can look up to. She is just lucky to be gifted with glib that is why she can talk her way out of all the scandals she was in. I find her manipulative and it's pretty obvious that she is just kissing assess right now to help his brother win. Didn't she said that had it not been for Noynoy, she wouldn't be there to volunteer in the fundraising for the victim of Ondoy? And how about this halluva regarding who will play their parents. It's just her tactic to get the endorsement of the actors for his brother. Isn't that true Piolo, Aga? On Noynoy as President: This man has no balls. Yes, he is the son of Ninoy and Cory. But he is NOT Ninoy nor Cory. Look at what is happening now, he is the candidate yet it seems like Kris is the one running for the position. I found it disturbing when Kris announced that she will demolish their house in Times to build a new one. Wasn't the house already owned by Noynoy? Shouldn't he be the one to decide what to do about it? Does this mean that when he gets elected, Kris or his sisters will be the one to decide for him? I don't think he is ready for bigger responsibilities such as the Presidency. Goodness, the guy can't even handle his own groceries. On Maricel: I know we all miss her and are hungry for news about her. And we want her to come out already. For me personally, that would be a bit selfish of us. For many years, Maricel has given herself to the public/us. And I believe that for once if she wants more time for herself to settle whatever it is she needs to settle, let her be. Let's be patient. Anyway, she said it herself that being an actress is already in her blood. So i don't think she will stay silent for so long. Let's just not get ahead of ourselves and speculate on things.
