by Sue in the Midwest I haven't seen much of Michael Gambon's work, but I loved Maigret. I think he will make a wonderful addition, as Dumbledore. It will be difficult to not see Richard Harris in the role, but I believe Michael will be able to take his place without exception and become a household name for the rest of his life. What a career coup! And good for him!! Comment on this...

Re: New Dumbledore (Thu Jul 10, 2003 8:45am ET) report post by Sue (another one from the midwest) I am sure he will be an excellent Dumbledore, however, he's going to have to shed quite a few pounds (and I don't mean the English currency) to be true to the part. In all the books and the first two movies (obviously), Dumbledore was a very thin man. I do suppose though, that the robes and cloaks they wear can hide almost anything. I can't wait for Year 3 !! The production of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban started already. I don't know anything about him or his work personnally, but I do hope I'll be able to see what a great actor he is, because that's what a whole lot of people seem to think. Comment on this...
