Hill Harper

Hill Harper most recently starred in The Handler, on CBS, for which he received a 2004 Golden Satellite Award nomination as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. His role in the series City of Angels, also on CBS, brought him an NAACP Image Award nomination as Best Supporting Actor. His other television credits include The Court, Live Shot, the upcoming film Lackawanna Blues and the mini-series Mama Flora's Family. He has made guest appearances in The Sopranos, Soul Food, The New Twilight Zone, ER The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Married...with Children, NYPD Blue and, on CBS, Cosby.

His feature film credits include Love, Sex and Eating the Bones, America Brown, The Badge, Loving Jezebel, The Nephew, The Skulls, In Too Deep, Beloved, Hav Plenty, He Got Game, Get on the Bus, Zooman, Full Court Press and One Red Rose, which he also co-wrote. His role in the film The Visit earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award.

Harper's theater credits include Dogeaters, the Off Broadway productions of Blue, Your Handsome Captain, Freeman and David Mamet's American Buffalo. He is a full-time member of the Black Folk's Theater Company of Boston, one of the nation's oldest and most respected African American traveling theater troupes.

Harper graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and has two graduate degrees from Harvard University--a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a masters in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government.
