| by George H paul newman is a fantastic actor and has proved himself worthy of a screen legend. he seems like a very nice down to earth guy who treats everyone like a friend. I feel a bit sorry for him that he had to put up with james liptons jabbering for over an hour on that show 'inside the actors studio'. that must of been torture for him since it is the most boring show on tv. I saw that one when he was honoured with an AFI lifetime achievement award. I almost cried watching it looking back on all his movies. he truly deserved that award. his also one of the few actor who get better by age and I can't believe he is still acting over the age of 80. he looks great by the way. his performance in that movie, the verdict was incredible. its the small things he does to channel this complex character. the way he moves, the look in his eyes everything is top notch. its not one of my favourite movies but if you want to see newman walk away from is cool charming image and see him dissapear into this down and out lawyer then rent it out. i cant believe he didn't win an oscar for that movie. god bless you paul for all your wonderful performances you have given us over the years. | by Gazby Does anyone know of a film, posibly Paul newman where he is in a room of cia agents goes out of the room for a snack and when he comes back they are all dead. The film is about a plot to wipe out an agency conected with the cia or a secret part of the cia? He is chased down through the movie but not quite sure. Please Help this is killing me!!! THAT IS THE WAY HE IS IS "REAL LIFE". HIS MOVIE PARTS LIKE MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE FOR EXAMPLE, REFLECT (FOR THE MOST PART) HIS DEMEANOR OFF SCREEN. A WARM, RECEPTIVE AND ATTENTIVE PERSON WHO IS NOT FULL OF HIMSELF OR TAKEN TO LOOKING DOWN HIS NOSE AT OTHERS. HE LOVES TO VISIT; THOUGH AT FIRST HE IS RATHER SHY. I'VE HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING HIM. SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE WE MARRIED, MY WIFE MET HIM IN LAS VEGAS; AT A BLACKJACK TABLE IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. SHE HAD THE SAME IMPRESSION. | by john i aggree totally with gemma ,paul newman has made so many great movies ,hud , butch cassidy ,the sting ,the hustler ,cool hand luke .on the terrace ,judge roy bean ,just to name a few the only bad movie was called sitting bull ,and even he said ,it was bad ,yes i aggree that an actor like paul newman comes around just once in a blue moon ,fuuny thing he only won an oscar for the movie a remake of the hustler called THE COLOUR OF MONEY not one of his best movies but it was ok .think COOL HAND LUKE OR HUD WAS HIS BEST , Comment on this... |
