THANK YOU MR. LaFLEUR (Sat Jun 16, 2007 10:19pm ET)report post
by KENDRICK JACKSON
I MET MR. LaFLEUR ON THE SET OF THE REPLACEMENTS IN 1999. I KNEW WHO HE WAS THE VERY MOMENT I LAID EYES ON HIM. I WAS ONE OF THE FOOLBALL PLAYERS IN THE FILM. THE MAN IS ONE OF THE NICEST AND GINUINE PEOPLE I'VE EVER MET IN ANY ARENA OF LIFE. HE TOTALLY VOLUNTEERED SOME VERY GOOD ADVICE TO ME. HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS, BUT I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR THE WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT. THANK YOU SIR, I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE CONVERSATION AND WISDOM YOU ALLOWED ME TO RECIEVE FROM YOU; AND THANKS FOR THE LUNCH IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE OF THE FOOTBALL STADIUM (FORMERLY KNOWN AS PSI.NET STADIUM).

Art's twin (Mon Mar 26, 2007 1:12pm ET)report post

My father-in-law looks exactly like Art LaFleur. People constantly stop him on the the street and ask whether they know him. Does anyone know how I might get an autographed picture of art for his birthday?

Isn't it funny to see people's reactions when they think they recognize someone? You should see how some people react when they actually see Art. I love to watch people look at him and then look again but sometimes don't say anything because they aren't sure if it's him. I have autographed pictures of my own, but I will see if he has any extra next time I see him.

Hi Lindsey, as my post says, Art was my football coach at Holy Angels school in 1966. My older brothers attended Horace Mann, and knew Art and his brother Ed. I would like to write Art a note. How can I reach him? I can be reached at jvfraire@sbcglobal.net

Thanks

Wow! What a small world! My dad is Ed and he always tells me stories about the days back at Horace Mann. Art is coming here for a visit in a couple weeks. (NW Indiana) I would give you his email but I am not sure if he would want to give that out.

Lindsey,

My name is John Fraire. I was on the Holy Angels Church football team in 1966 inGary, Indiana. He was my coach. We lost every game and by the last week of the season, only five of us showed up for practice. Art decided to cancel our last game and he thanked us for showing up and sticking through. I was one of those last remaining five players who showed up. I was in the sixth grade. My older brother is Gabriel Fraire who went to school with Art's brother Ed. I now work at Washington State University as a VP. If you could pass this on to him, that would be great. My email is jfraire@wsu.edu. Thanks,

Hello Lindsey,

I was just watching "Field of Dreams" earlier and enjoying your uncle's work, as always.

Tonight was especially nice as I was finally able to pin him down after quite a while of trying.

It's so common (and annoying) these days for television to squeeze the credits to the side while showing some promo for an upcoming show.

Because of this I had never been find out who this great actor was, but tonight got lucky.

I have sent notes out to my several friends who are fans also, and now we'll all know next time.

Pete

It's well known that Art LaFleur learned everything about the craft of acting, not from Gordon Hunt, but from the legendary underground acting teacher George Parrish.
Parrish's influence is felt throughout the acting communities of Los Angeles and New York.
Also, it's a well known fact that Art is crap at golf.

Well first of all I would have to agree with Michaels impression of Art, he is a very sexy man. I had the pleasure of meeting Art LaFleurs acquaintence in a post office in Studio City, CA, and had a pleasant but unfortunatly short conversation with him, he was surprized that I new his name, infact his comment to me was, no body knows who I am. I have followed Art's work for years now and always look forward to seeing him in film and on tv, definatly one of the best character actors around. Smile
