by pauline Thanks Christopher - people tend to laugh at me here when we discuss favourite actors and I mention his name - (Who?) - which proves my point - he's in loads of stuff but so skilled at his craft that he isn't noticed. I haven't seen or heard of 1776, but I assume it's the American War of Independence, and I'll see if I can get hold of it. (Thanks for the tip). It's a shame that he hasn't had a vehicle for his talents that would bring him more into the public eye (and onto our screens). I can't imagine that he hasn't had the opportunity - perhaps he prefers to concentrate on less populist plays. He's much more versatile than David Jason (sorry D. liked you in some stuff, but you're famous as much because you're flavour of the month as anything else - and good luck to you) or John Thaw (though I did like Thaw). One of the best, and sadly neglected. Comment on this...

by Christopher Wong I fell in love with Charles Kay's acting skills while watching 1776. Does anyone know anything about his life? I agree with Pauline Meek on everything she says... Comment on this...

by pauline meek A grossly under-rated actor - I enjoy him in even the smallest of parts. He is one of those (rare) talented actors who will never become "stars" becuse their gift is to be truly good at what they do - so good that they tend to get taken for granted! Not flashy, not obvious - just very, very convincing, and a pleasure to watch (or listen too - sadly he has not been on radio for a while or if so, I've missed him. "Travels with My Aunt" - a favourite book - was a joy. Comment on this...
