by Pinoy Fan
aside from Spiderman tv series, i love to watch The Greatest American Hero during my early age. i never stop loving this Greatest American Hero in my life. just like my Spiderman, how i wish The Greatest American Hero will be seen in the big screen... sorry but i love it rather than the Superman, which i never tried watching coz during the tv series i just feel bored on it. but when Spiderman made it, just hoping at my age of 34 TGAH will be seen in the wide screen As Soon As Possible. i even dreaming of seeing him in Personal... PLEASE...?

the best actor William Katt (Thu May 18, 2006 9:33pm ET)report post
by Francisco Javier Pineda Salas

(Sun Apr 30, 2006 9:44am ET)report post
by francisco javier pineda salas
Gracias

William Katt in a commercial? (Mon Jul 18, 2005 9:01pm ET)report post
by maria
Can anybody help me with this:

Did William Katt, the actor who starred in The Greatest American Hero, recently appear in a commercial for Wellbutrin? I haven't been able to find any recent pix of him, but think one of the guys with gray hair looks like him.

A FINE ACTOR, MUSICIAN & DIRECTOR (Fri Apr 11, 2003 12:11pm ET)report post
by Farnham Scott
I first saw William Katt in CARRIE and was very impressed. Sometime later I saw him onstage in NYC in a play called BAJOUR LA BALOUR and he was incredibly moving. Then I saw him do THE MUSIC MAN and PIPPIN and was pleased to find he was a really fine singer as well. His out-of-print album SECRET SMILES features a lot of his own musical compositions. Over the years he's never been less than great in his tv work, particularly TOP OF THE HILL, which is being redone as MR. STERLING with Josh Brolin. BIG WEDNESDAY, BUTCH & SUNDANCE, LAST CALL are all worth seeing for this charismatic wonderful actor. Sure the suit WAS dumb on GAH, but he played the hell out of it...

I completely agree with that. If any fans of William Katt's singing don't own the George/Ira Gershwin composed "Pardon My English" sountrack then it's a worthwhile investment. Katt sings the lead of Michael/Golo and is marvellous.

William Katt is wonderful extension of his family--his father who gave us great performances in TILL THE END OF TIME, and DEADLINE AT DAWN both in 46, and of couse his mom MISS BARBARA HALE. He can make a classic out of a simple litttle picture like HOUSE, or bring a touch of class to those Perry Mason TV outings. Under used but always there as a working actor, not a star, but a fine performer with grace and dedication, he's to be admired.

He is kind of an a$$hole... (Thu Mar 13, 2003 3:40pm ET)report post

I grew up watching him on Greatest American Hero. I thought that he was the best since Chris Reve's verson of Superman. I saw an old interview from GMA and he seemed to shoot down the show that made him famous! Sad

I understand that he hated that suit. But if I were a kid that saw that in 1982, that would have broken my heart. I get the feeling that he did it for the money and nothing more.

I guess that money was the one thing that William Katt cared about more then he did the kids who really liked the show... I hope he chokes on all that money!

Bill was a childhood friend of mine. He was a rascal when he was younger, but absolutely adorable. He grew into a wonderful person: kind, talented, generous. The last time I saw him was in the 70's, but I doubt he changed over the years. Do you remember his movie "First Love" with Susan Dey?

It wasn't for the money!!! William Katt thought the show was a great idea...until they started making aliens appear! The show's plots got ridiculously out of hand and William Katt didn't want to be type cast as The Greatest American Hero for his whole life. He was smart to distance himself as far away from that show as possible! After all, people who didn't escape a character they played on TV never went anywhere with their career...look at Scott Baio for example, ah Chachie!?!
