Anthony Heald is a veteran of stage and screen, with numerous Broadway and off­Broadway awards to his credit.

In film, Heald portrayed Dr. Chilton in Silence of the Lambs opposite Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. He also starred in three film adaptations of John Grisham's best­selling novels, including Time to Kill, The Client and The Pelican Brief. Heald's other feature film credits include Kiss of Death, Searching for Bobby Fischer, Postcards from the Edqe, Outrageous Fortune and Silkwood.

On television, Heald has twice guested on Law & Order and has also been featured on Murder, She Wrote, Under Suspicion, the final episode of Cheers and the miniseries Fresno.

A vibrant stage entertainer, Heald dazzled Broadway audiences in Anything Goes which won him his first Tony Award nomination. He was nominated a second time for his outstanding performance in Love! Valor! Compassion! He starred as Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro and in Inherit the Wind opposite George C. Scott and Charles Burning.

Heald won Obie Awards for his roles in the off­Broadway productions of Digby, The Foreigner, Henry V and Quartermaine's Terms. He also won a Theater World Award for his portrayal of Gunner in Misalliance."
