African-American comedian, actor, TV host Arsenio Hall (The Arsenio Hall Show, Harlem Nights, Coming To America) is celebrating his 50th birthday today!

We have thoroughly enjoyed Arsenio as MC on Star Search. He works well with an interesting, sometimes difficult mix of judges and contestants. Only one sour note: Wed., April 23rd. Arsenio seemed to have loosened up and let go of some necessary inhibitions which caused him to come across as loose and lewd. He's usually SO good.
