Biography #2 (for The Whole Ten Yards)
With a lot of style and engaging wit, Amanda Peet charmed audiences and critics alike with her portrayal of dental hygienist/aspiring hit woman in the box office hit The Whole Nine Yards. She received strong reviews for her performance in Igby Goes Down opposite Jeff Goldblum, Susan Sarandon and Kieran Culkin.Peet will next co-star with Ashton Kutcher in A Lot Like Love. Directed by Nigel Cole, the story revolves around a guy and a girl who manage to resist their mutual attraction over the years only to see fate throwing them back together. The film begins shooting in April 2004.
Peet recently completed production on Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda co-starring with Will Ferrell, Chloe Sevigny and Johnny Lee Miller.
She was last seen in director Nancy Meyer's Something's Gotta Give in which she plays the much younger girlfriend to Jack Nicholson's character, who then falls for her mother, played by Diane Keaton. In 2003, Peet starred alongside John Cusack and Ray Liotta in the thriller Identity for director James Mangold.
