Amanda Peet
Peet is currently starring in the play This Is How It Goes, which is
scheduled to end its run at New York's Public Theater on April 17th. The Neil LaBute comedy co-stars Ben Stiller and Jeffrey Wright. She is also currently co-starring in the Woody Allen comedy, Melinda and Melinda, for Fox Searchlight. Other cast members include Will Ferrell, Chloe Sevigny, Jonny Lee Miller and Radha Mitchell.
This fall, Peet will be seen in Syriana, a geopolitical thriller in which she'll star opposite Matt Damon and George Clooney. Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney and Michael Nozik are producing, and Jennifer Fox, Ben Cosgrove and Georgia Kacandes are executive producing.
Peet was last seen in director Nancy Meyers' Something's Gotta Give for Columbia Pictures, alongside Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Frances McDormand and Keanu Reeves.
In 2003, Peet starred alongside John Cusack and Ray Liotta in the Sony Pictures thriller, Identity, for director James Mangold. In 2002, Peet starred with Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd in 20th Century Fox and New Regency's thriller High Crimes for director Carl Franklin and in Paramount Pictures' Changing Lanes opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Affleck and Sydney Pollack.
Television audiences warmed to her when she starred as Jack on the WB drama, Jack and Jill.
A native of New York, Peet graduated from Columbia University with a degree in American History. While there, she also studied acting under Uta Hagen, which ultimately led her to pursue acting as a career.
Peet currently resides in Los Angeles.
