by D.McEntire Any show that has James Garner in it has to be great. I have watched him since the Maverick days. Comment on this...

by Betty Huston Does Mr. Garner still believe that drilling off shore is not a good idea? Should we still depend on other countries for our oil? I have always loved watching James Garner in his films and TV specials. Betty H. Denver Comment on this...

by Joseph Keeney I don't know whether or not James Garner will read this posting but I wanted to thank him for all of those Rockford File shows that I enjoyed so much. Comment on this...

by Di from Down- under I've been watching James Garner on TV and Film since I was a teenager. My Grandparents watched him In Maverick (before my time) and thought he was great. My children are now seeing and enjoying some of his more recent work (My Fellow Americans) as well as watching reruns of Rockford and think he is pretty cool. That's 3 generations who have loved and enjoyed his talents. How many actors can lay claim to that? Comment on this...

| by marv g. I reciently purchased a DVD of the movie "Cash McCall". There seems to be a scene missing, where Garner and Wood fly in his private plane to, I believe Texas, for lunch. In this scene, Garner orders a steak "well done". When it arrives, the steak is not done to his satisfaction. He summons the waiter and tells him to have the chef "burn it". When the steak is brought back, he tries it (crunch, crunch), wherein he says "My compliments to the chef" and then buys the restaruant. Does anyone remember this? Am I dreaming this happened? It was my favorite part of the movie and it seems to have been eliminated. Anyone??? Comment on this... | ||||

by sean Well mate, I've had a look at his private contributions to campaign efforts and, as you would probably know, he's very much the "card carrying liberal" he says he is. I understand he injected a couple of grand into the Kerry campaign, as well as a few quid here and there to anti-war groups. Saying that, he was pretty outspoken during his celebrity tours of Vietnam (1968) about the threat of the enemy and how "you can't wait until the enemy comes knocking at your door before you take action" - or words to that effect. It's a tough one. Comment on this...
