| by Kathleen Michael Jeter was a talented actor, no one can doubt. He won the hearts of many in the popular tv show "Evening Shade" with Burt Reynold and has continued to have success in his chosen field. (At one point, I have read, he quit acting in frustration and became, for a short time, a legal secretary.) I remember the night he was "outed" in his homosexuality. He seemed very much wanting to do it but very, very uncomfortable before the cameras. The recent publicity about his death says that though he was HIV-positive, he had been healthy and an autopsy was to be performed. They said he died of "natural causes." CAN you die "of natural causes" at age 50??? My heart goes out to his loved ones. Michael Jeter seemed to be a loving man who never quite felt comfortable in his own skin. God bless him.
