Shocking (Mon Nov 1, 2004 9:35pm ET)report post
by John
In "Equus" Firth was a good-looking, slim young man with very thick golden hair; now he has turned into a fat, bald old man. What went wrong?

What happened to Peter is called aging, and it happens to everybody. Peter is now 51. Personally, I think he looks better bald than he did with that unruly mop. And he's still a first-rate actor.

I agree. Hairstyles in the Seventies were very bad! And he was only 22 or 23 in "Equus", so we're talking about thirty years ago.

maybe because he did not use plastic surgery as everybody does in Hollywood and thank God !!! even without hair he is still a very good actor ...

It seems to be possible to make 20 mistakes in 10 words. I wrote my message in a great hurry but I ment every word I said. I wish you never stop acting. Buy the way, bold is better than hair.

Peter Firth (I must be his biggest fan?) (Thu Dec 11, 2003 6:06pm ET)report post
by Lisa Rivera
The first time I saw him in a movie, it was Northanger Abby. When I went to look up info on him, there were no fan sites. What a disappointment! Must've looked through every single website, and they are almost all sales info. Bought Equus, and as a person whose whole life is dedicated to the Equine species, it was a deadly, bizarre twist on how many devoted horse lovers feel. It still made me appreciate his talents even more. Not one prone to be a fool for celebrities, I still took on the challenge of trying to find a decent fan site. None. So, I did the crazy fan thing, and actually wrote him a letter! Well, he sent me a nice handwritten letter, and a photo of him. What a suprise! Did not expect it. What we fans want to know is: Whats new with you, Peter? What is your private life like? Kids? Married? But most of all, keep acting, and please, won't someone make a fan site? (I can't, I am almost computer illiterate)Big smile

Where did you write to him -at what address please?
I must be his oldest fan then. I was madly in love with him in the early 70's when he was in everything.

Me also. I've recently bought the complete DVD set of Here Come The Double Deckers which he was in when he was 16 and there is a good feature about him on thedoubledeckers.com website. He is a fantastic actor and still extremly attractive (what a smile). If anyone knows how to get in touch with him it would be greatly appreciated.

Peter Firth my new favorite actor (Sat Aug 30, 2003 5:13pm ET)report post
by jennifer
I had the pleasure of watching the film Equus. Peter Firth was amazing! I first saw Firth in Tess. He has an incredible talent. I only wished I lived in England where I can watch him on television every week. I have just ordered other films of his that I can't rent so I am looking forward to seeing those. I forgive him for doing Chill Factor. A man has to make a living. Lastly, I just want to tell him to keep up the good work. I can't wait to see you in future filmsSmile Smile Smile
