I saw this movie for the 1st time about 10 years ago.
Nigel, as Lord Bothwell, simply took my breath away.
Devilish, strong, charismatic and oh, so handsome Smile))

I have watched most of Nigel Davenport's movies over the years and have never been disappointed yet. Of course his shining star was as NORFOLK Marshal of England in the 1966 movie A Man For All Seasons. His interprative performance was the epitome of one playing one of the most powerful, if not THE most powerful man in England next to the King. He adds the same dedication to all his roles. He was also well cast as Mucianus, the Senator who was constantly baiting the Emperor Vespasian in Masada. altogether a fine actor.
