| by Penny laine Given the current crop of beefed up, thin-voiced hunks with set mannerisms and cloned-synthetic-cool charismas, Jason Behjr is almost like a throwback to a richer era of leading man heroes. His under-stated, totally natural, "less is more" style of acting reminds one of the Paul Newman Robert Redford school of acting. Very few actors have the ability to convey volumes without saying a word. It's a rare, rare quality, and this young actor has it in spades! I've been a movie maniac for years, devoured films going back 50 years, I've been bored stiff with the parade of Brad Pitts and Mat Damons in recent times. I was beginning to think that apart from the superb character actors in Hollywood, there were no leading men left, (barring george Clooney and John Cusack ofcourse). But now, after seeing Jason Behr, I think there is hope. It's not the best time for a actor of his ilk to come into Hollywood. The average Hollywood script is unworthy of being deemed toilet paper! I'm glad Jason Behr has side-stepped the vapid teen heartthrob route, and taken the more interesting detour - Indie films. At least they are still attempting at telling stories. I was looking for a place where one can provide feedback here. Maybe then fans can contribute info on JB , with traceable links, ofcourse. Comment on this... |

He has already acted beside one of Hollywood's greats...Kevin Spacey in The Shipping News. I have no doubt in my mind that he will make it...Now if only FilmBug can add a filmography to his profile.
