| by Vanessa Cury Hi, Marlee! I'm a 44 y/o Brazilian physician with disability. I work as an Occupational Health doctor, for the Federal Ministry of Labour in Brazil. In fact, I deal with employers, mostly, trying to get their attention towards people with disabilities' needs. Part of my job is to lecture for Company Owners, Human Resources' chiefs, staff that could, somehow, hire people with different levels of disability. I've found pretty compassionate people out there, but also found much stupidity and hardness. Tonight I came through a 'YouTube' video showing the 1987 Academy Awards. It lead me to tears to seeing how important it is to achieve such level of recognition by your peers. It certainly helps showing some hypocrits that competence requires stregth of character, rather than perfection of body and senses. This material, though, is not available for users to copy. I would like to ask for your help, by sending me part of that material (if you have it or know anyone that could help) in order for me to show it in my lectures. You know, I'm sure, how important it is for Company Owners, CEO's, Politicians and, of course, for people with disabilities themselves, to witness another inspirational person with disability that is also such a successful one.
