Mino Bellei has had successful stage career in Italy. He has directed plays written by Moravia, Pirandello, Camus, Sartre, Shakespeare and Molière for the Malinteso Company. In 1979 he wrote, directed and acted in his first feature film, Bionda Fragola, and has since worked with directors such as Francesco Laudadio, Liliana Cavani and Franco Zeffirelli.
