| by chris DeBari I had the pleasure, or should I say the honor, of acting with Daniel Davis in Richard III in Central Park, NYC in the summer of 1990. He was masterful as Buckingham. Richard was played by Denzel Washington, who, although a great actor in his own right, paled by comparison. Daniel acted shakespeare so convincingly and recited the poetry so masterfully that we could only look on in awe, including, I think, our obnoxius director who was himself a former director of the Royal Shakepeare and Stratford Shakespeare Companies. Daniel is far and away one of the best actors this country has ever or will ever produce and not by accident. The man works at it -very, very hard. Comment on this... |
