Giancarlo Esposito
Giancarlo Esposito has often been referred to as a chameleon for his ability to inhabit many types of characters. He starred opposite Paul Newman in Twilight and Clive Owen in Derailed. He also has distinguished himself in such films as Sherrybaby, The Usual Suspects, Wayne Wang's Smoke and The Last Holiday.
Esposito received a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for his performance in Fresh. He is also recognized for his work in several Spike Lee movies, including Do The Right Thing and Malcolm X. A committed stage actor, he has won Obie awards for Zooman and The Sign at the Negro Ensemble Company and Distant Fires at The Atlantic Theatre Company, where he performs and teaches as a company member.
Esposito has just completed his feature film debut as a writer-director on Gospel Hill, which stars Julia Stiles, Angela Bassett, Danny Glover and Taylor Kitsch.
