Among dozens of television credits, Farmer is remembered for his series regular role of Stonetree in the cult hit CBS program Forever Knight, guest roles in such episodic programs as China Beach and Miami Vice, and a range of telefilms including Showtime's Moonshine Highway, CBS's Sparks and NBC's "Unnatural Causes.
Farmer's work in the theater has been equally extensive. He created the award-winning role of Zachary in Tomson Highway's Dry Lips Oughta Move To Kapaskasing at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, co-starred in the role of Lenny in Of Mice and Men for Magnus Theatre and as Chief Bromden in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest for the off-Broadway Press Theatre.
As a director, Farmer has helmed episodes of Four Directions and Forever Knight, the stageplay Ravens for Native Earth Performing Arts, and is working on several documentary projects including The Gift, which was screened at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival.
