DJE is the very best, so gorgeous, sexy. I watch JAG all the time. CB is the luckiest person to have been so near him. I didn't like the final series and would have liked to see them married- so please can we have a movie. Perhaps DJE wanted to move on and expand his skills? I just wish I could meet him...he would have made a fantastic James Bond

Bereft of DJE? (Thu Nov 17, 2005 4:36pm ET)report post

Everyone's been lamenting the loss of JAG but at least we can see DJE on Lifetime Sunday, November 27 @ 9pm in "The Stranger I Married!"

I am so bereft of DJE, and his character. He brought Harm to life in a way no other actor could have done. He gave Harm honour, integrity, and decency. He made the people believe in the good of the Navy, just as Mac did for the Marines. (I was also a big fan of Tracey Needham) I can't understand why Donald Bellisario seemed to be so against Harm, and David James Elliott overall, in the end. He had built up Harm and Mac as a team, and would be couple. Then he decides to change the series we love so much by bringing in this newer, younger crowd. There was nothing wrong with that, but he made the newer male character a very despictable (sp) and poor example of a man who will fight for our country. Without Harm and DJE, there was no JAG.

The worst part is that done right, DPB could have written Harm and Mac out, but not completely. Perhaps one could have been a judge (Mac, since she liked it) and Harm as the new JAG (although he didn't really like it). They could have gotten married. It would not have been turned into a soap opera as DPB constantly insisted. At that point, they could have gotten the younger guy, written in a much more decent manner and one of the new girls, Teresa Graves, be the new Harm and Mac, but it was obvious that DPB wanted to get rid of DJE ONLY. He wanted to keep CB, but NOT DJE.

As Chegwidden had been Harm's mentor, Harm could have been Yucky's mentor and perhaps he would not have been so despictable. He was an embarassment to the Navy. BTW, I call Vukovic 'Yucky.'

DPB also started changing CB's role. Mac would have never covered up for ANYONE like she did for Yucky. They had brought in several new people. Well, Turner, Roberts, Mac and Harm were now the senior officers and it was now up to them to make sure their officers would follow in their footsteps.

Without Harm, there was no JAG. I do love Mac's character, and I write a lot of fanfiction for them, but I have to admit that I could write Harm in with just about anyone, although I am a diehard shipper, and I truly do like Harm and Mac together. Too bad TPTB couldn't see this. Instead, DPB got bored with JAG, and turned to NCIS and in so doing decided he wanted nothing more to do with David James Elliott. In my opinion, DJE was treated very poorly towards the end, and I stopped watching it. I would tape, then keep the parts that had Harm in it.

CBS always gave JAG very little promotion, despite the fact that they were on for ten years, but they do promote NCIS. Now, they won't even release the DVD's, which I would be first in line to buy them. What's going on with them.

I hope that DJE's new movie turns out to be a great one, and that he wins the Gemini Award (I hope that's right) for the best actor, actress, and movie. Those are the Canadian Awards. I would also like to see him do the story of Peter Jennings. They look alike, and Harm could easily portray Peter Jennings.

Thanks for allowing me to say my piece.

I MISS JAG (Fri Nov 11, 2005 9:52pm ET)report post
by Mary
JAG HAD A GREAT GROUP OF ACTORS THAT FIT WELL WITH THE ROLES THEY PLAYED. THEN COMES THE LAST SEASON.
WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT MADE THE SHOW GO AND HIS ROLE WAS DOWNPLAYED TO ALMOST NON-EXISTENCE. I WAS A FAN FOR 9 YEARS AND TO END THE SHOW THE WAY IT ENDED WAS PATHETIC.

I AM HOPING FOR A REUNION MOVIE THAT ENDS WITH MAC AND HARM MARRIED WITH ALL THE CAST MEMBERS PRESENT.

I hope there is a movie that shows how it ends with Harm and Mac. I watched the show for a long time and I always wanted to see Harm and Mac get married. I think this would be the most fitting thing that could happen to the show.

i saw the movie about terry everanshen on CTV last night. DJE was just as sexy in that role as he was in JAG. i am fortunate to see him weekdays in JAG on history television, and in Street Legal on Bravo!. hope they bring out the complete series of JAG on DVD soon.

i look forward to seeing more of his work and hopefully a movie reuniting the JAG cast with harm and mac's wedding.

The only reason I subscribe to cable is to get the JAG reruns and now, USA keeps prempting it for some stupid (and I DO mean stupid) movie or a rerun of Monk or SVU that we've all seen millions more times than anyone wants. Please tell me where I can see David. He's the most handsome, charismatic, wonderful actor on TV, bar none! All of us agree - we need more of DJE and JAG. Please?????????

I am with you on that! Friday nights are not the same without DJE Sad( I miss him!

I can't wait for the TV Movie of the week "The Man Who Lost Himself" to be shown...probably on the women's channel, here in Canada. Last I read was that it would be aired in late Fall. Would anyone know for certain WHEN... Gosh, it is so difficult to find information on the exact date.
