was john amos ever in jail? i seem to remember something about this in the 70's or80's.

M. Amos was in fact in prison....filming the movie LOCK UP,with Sylvester Stallone.The actors spent nearly three months in New Jersey's Northern State Prison where the movie was shot.In addition,Mr.Amos logged additional "jail time"as a social worker in New York's infamous Tombs and The Brooklyn House Of Detention,where he worked,counseling indigent defendants.

I think that Mr. Amos is one of the most brilliant actors on the planet Earth . I had the pleasure of seeing him perfoform at the Grand
Opra House in Wilmington ,DE. last February
Imagine my disappointment when I learned that the show would not be back this year .
I wanted to bring my whole family to witness what this man was capable of doing on stage .
Long story short "Mr. Amos you say when you will do it again " we'll be there front and center
