Jeremy Davies

Jeremy Davies' first leading role in David O. Russell's acclaimed and award winning independent film Spanking the Monkey earned him an Independent Spirit award nomination for best debut performance. Davies' turn as Corporal Upham the cowardly interpreter in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan also brought him considerable acclaim.

Davies played the leading role in Wim Wenders' Million Dollar Hotel, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, winning the Silver Bear. He'll also be seen starring opposite Nick Nolte, Neve Campbell and Alan Cumming in Alan Rudolph's Investigating Sex, 29 Palms with Michael Rapaport, Bill Pullman and Chris O'Donnell, Steven Shainberg's The Secretary opposite James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal, and The Laramie Project with Christina Ricci and Steve Buscemi. He's also committed to Wim Wenders' next project, which Wenders is currently writing with Sam Shepard.

Davies other credits include Up at the Villa with Sean Penn, The Locusts with Vince Vaughn and Ashley Judd, Nell with Jodie Foster, Jan de Bont's Twister, and Tamra Davis' Guncrazy with Drew Barrymore.

Davies was born in Salinger, Alaska and has lived in New Orleans, Wyoming, Idaho, Hawaii, California and South America.
