I first saw Ann Sothern in "Private Secretary" in 1952. I was 7 years old, and I loved her. She was gorgeous, witty, kind hearted, and fun. Years later, when I was an aspiring actress with parents who were less than supportive, I wrote to her. She promptly wrote back with words of encouragement and appreciation for my interest in her and in acting. I still have her letter. I'm now 60, and remember her fondly. I miss her.

Smile. I remember watching Ms. Southern in her television roles and loved her. My mother loved old movies and I've inherited that from her. 'Maisie' films are among my favorite. I would love to see phots of Ms. Southern in her various roles included in her bio.
