Bobby Driscoll Forum

| by norm bittorf I was a high school buddy of Bobby Driscoll (easily confirmed with the Hollywood Professional School yearbook, Class of 1955). No one mentions his great film "Song of the South"...delightful...but impossible to find a DVD copy because of alledged race discrimination in the film which I just do not see. The cartoon characters and music in the film are absolute classics! Norm Comment on this... |

| by Curran and Kaitlin This is two people Curran and Kaitlin and we're let you know who is talking throughtout the thing Kaitlin: Curran and I were just looking through this book Curran got "the 100th anniversary edition of Peter Pan and we read something at the end of the book that the illistrater said Curran: Now we know this doesn't have much to do with Bobby Driscoll well anything really but we didn't know where to put it. But it's about Peter Pan and we thought it was like kind of important because it describes all of us. Kaitlin: So we hope you will think the same thing because we belive that this is the Truest thing that anyone could ever say, Ever What child or adult has not envied and admired Peter Pan, the little boy who refused to grow up? There is a little of Peter Pan inside every person. For without the imagination, dreams, and hopes of a child, we are all at risk of becoming lost boys and girls. - Michael Hague Comment on this... |

| by Jim Foster To me, Bobby was the finest child actor ever to grace the silver screen. His performance in the film noir classic THE WINDOW (1949) was perfection itself, as was his portrayal of Jim Hawkins in Disney's TREASURE ISLAND (1950). His treatment by Hollywood in later years was shameful, most especially by the studio which profited most from his efforts. The Oscar he won for outstanding juvenile actor in 1949 was richly deserved... one for Best Actor would have been even more appropriate! Comment on this... | ||||
