Patricia Richardson

Patricia Richardson is well-known for her starring role on the hit television series Home Improvement, as Tim Allen's loving, clear-headed wife Jill. Her work on the series earned her an Emmy nomination and two Golden Globe nominations. Richardson shot her scenes for ULEE'S GOLD during the series' short summer hiatus.

Also during this hiatus and immediately following ULEE'S GOLD, Richardson began production on the CBS mini-series, Undue Influence, portraying an ambitious district attorney. Other television credits include Lifetime's Sophie and Moonhanger, in which she portrayed the morally conflicted wife of a Klu Klux Klan leader, the NBC comedy series F.M., as well as the series Double Trouble and Eisenhower and Lutz.

Richardson's film credits include In Country with Bruce Willis and Lost Angels, starring Donald Sutherland.

Born in Bethesda, Maryland, Richardson grew up as a self-described Navy brat, the daughter of a test pilot. She attended Southern Methodist University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting. Following college, she moved to New York and earned her first role, understudying the title role in the Angela Lansbury Broadway revival of Gypsy. She went on to perform in several productions with the Playwright's Horizon, the Manhattan Theatre Club and the WPA Theatre. Off-Broadway, she appeared in Vanities, Hooters, Cruise Control and Beth Henley's The Miss Firecracker Contest. Her Broadway credits include Loose Ends and another Henley play, The Wake of Jamey Foster.
