Corbett is probably best known for his regular role as Linc Case on Route 66, but he is remembered by science fiction fans for his guest starring role in Star Trek episode Metamorphosis as Zefram Cochrane, the inventor of warp drive.
He died in San Antonio, Texas of lung cancer.
