Conaway's telefilm and mini-series credits include Dirty Dozen IV, Bay Coven, The Making of a Male Model and Breaking Up is Hard To Do. His big screen credits include Pete's Dragon, The Eagle Has Landed, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, Eye of the Storm, The Rape of Eden, Sunset Strip and Grease. Conaway has also made Broadway appearances in Grease, All the Way Home and The News.
