During the Fall of 1999, Don Cornell (accompanied by his wife) was concerting at The Three Little Bakers Theatre in Wilmington, Delaware. The owner of the theater, Nicholas Immediato, and Don were plannig a concert for 2000 in which Don Cornell, Frank Sinatra, and Perry Como would appear at the theater. Don Cornwell, then 79 years of age, had the voice of a 35 year old person. He was at the theater for two nights, both nights with standing room only, young and old in attendance. Talent knows no age barrier. However, Frank Sinatra died and Perry Como was not in the best of health. Don Cornell and Perry lived next door to each other in Florida. I forget the name of the community. The concert by the three singers never came to be. Perry Como died in 2001 . Don Cornell died in 2003. Many have been the times that Nick and I have reminisced about the concert that never was, which would have broken all of Three Little Baker's attendances for their 70 plus year of operation.

As a boy growing up in Mr. Milton Snavely Hershey's Orphanage (1944-1949), Perry Como was the epitome of talent for the orphans. He was not a stage showman. It was his talent and unpretentious way that rocketed him to fame in Hollywood and to even greater heights on radio, and television. He was like trhe western singers. They (e.g., Kitty Wells, Hank Snow, Eddy Arnold, Patsy Kline, and Hank Williams) had no or very little showmanship, however, they. like Como, had you fixed attention on their skills. Respectfully, Adam Wm. Fisher
