| by Ronzique Faith Domergue will always be known as Dr. Ruth Adams in the 1955 Sci-fi classic, "This Island Earth" with Jeff Morrow and Rex Reason. I thought she was beautiful in that film...too bad she had to ruin that billowing green beaded skirt in the scene where she and Reason jumped in the lake to hide from the Metalunans heat rays. I liked that outfit the best from that film. I have not seen any of her other films, however. Maybe I should take a peek. In fact, I understand in "La Breve Amor" with Joan Collins, she appeared in a partially nude scene at the age of 43 in 1968 in this Italian film. Where's the video? Unfortunately, she died of cancer at the age of 73 in 1999, never to see the new millennium.
