Illeana Douglas has forged a career that bridges the worlds of independent and studio films, including her remarkable performance as a struggling singer/songwriter in Allison Anders' Grace of My Heart and her breakthrough turn in Gus Van Sant's To Die For. Working with a broad range of directors, including Martin Scorsese, Robert Redford and Frank Marshall, Douglas' additional film credits include Cape Fear, Search & Destroy, Picture Perfect, Quiz Show, Goodfellas, Alive, Wedding Bell Blues, Hacks, Grief, and Message In A Bottle. She was also seen Terry Zwigoff's award-winning adaptation of the comic book Ghost World.
Douglas has also written, produced and directed three short films, The Perfect Woman, Boy Crazy, Girl Crazier, and Everybody Just Stay Calm, all of which have screened at numerous film festivals and appear regularly on cable television.
On television, she appeared in the critically acclaimed comedy Action and opposite Richard Dreyfuss in the HBO biopic Lansky. She also guest-starred as Garry Shandling's girlfriend in the final season of The Larry Sanders Show and once appeared as Carrot Girl on the hit show Seinfeld.
