An idea inspired from viewing the documentary, "Searching for Debra Winger". (Sat Aug 23, 2003 3:46am ET)report post

Dear Jane Fonda,

I'm not sure if you really read these guestbook entries or not, but by chance you do, I would like to submit an idea for a movie.

I know this sounds corny or even naive - but I was watching HBO the other night and saw Rosanna's Documentary, "Searching for Debra Winger" and it inspired me to joint down this idea for a specific part for any middle-aged actress to play that would be interested.

In a nutshell - it could be a comedy, but I prefer it to be a drama in order to strike a "heart-felt" emotion to the audience and convey a message about how woman they are seen by others and by themselves.

I am sincerely interested in telling this idea to an actress or a director who would take this into consideration seriously. But if this forum doesn't get read by Jane Fonda - I feel really stupid and silly for even taking the time to write this entry.

Please reply if this entry truly appeals to you, with honesty and sincerity.

I have followed stories for a long time on Jane Fonda and I am shocked that she is in the 100 Top women of america. This is so sick. Her activist involvement in Vietnam should be enough to put her on the list of women so low they would have to climb a ladder to scratch a snails belly. She was only in Vietnam, in my opinion for publicity. She thinks she is pretty but not all the world including me agrees. I do however believe she is (Pretty Low). I really don't know how she sleeps at night. I wouldn't vote for her as a dog catcher. People call the Hanoi Jane story a rumor when all you have to do is a little research on your own .

People should not forget Jane Fonda's actions during the VietNam War. Poor Jane...people are still bringing up the past...what about the VietNam Vets who LIVE with the past every day? I have no sympathy for Jane Fonda and believe she deserves every bit of bad press that she gets. Does she ever think that because of fathers, brothers, husbands and sons fighting in VietNam she's able to enjoy her freedom to act like the traitor she is? Does she think they wanted to go fight a war and be away from their loved ones (some forever)? They went because they were protecting HER freedom as well as every other American. She disgusts me!
