Esther Williams Forum

by Classic Movies Examiner While other MGM stars would dance on the floor, Esther Williams danced in water. Her aquatic numbers could be spectacles or could relay what her character (and sometimes that of her leading man)was thinking at the moment. http://www.examiner.com/x-4861-Classic-Movies-Examiner~y2009m4d8-8-Esther-Williams-swimmi ng-scenes-that--you-should-see--Part-1-of-2 Comment on this...

by Emily I loved watching her movies when she would swim. I leared how to swim with the same form after watching her for a long time. I am sure I had to work much harder at it than she did. I always thought she was the most beautiful and gracious person I had ever seen. I saved money for years to be able to put an inground pool at my house, and now I have it and love swimming, thanks to Esther. Comment on this...

by Donna I can't believe I'm the first to comment on this forum. She was such a refreshing change from your run-of-the-mill movie, bringing the freshness that made her films such fun. Who can forget her in "Dangerous when Wet"? Wonderful!! Comment on this...
