I was a big fan of this most beautiful woman when I saw her in Jailhouse Rock with Elvis.although I was a small kid,I cried when I found out she and her husband died so early in life. What a loss of a star to be.

Judy died about the same time as James Dean - 5:50 PM - on July 3rd, 1957. Her husband, Greg Lafayette (he was only 19!!) was apparently driving their '57 Chevy when he swerved to avoid a car with trailer pulling out into the southbound lane of US-287 in front of "Wild Bill's", a famous
convenience stop and petting zoo three miles north of Rock River, Wyoming. His car skidded into the northboud lane of
US-287 and was broadsided. Judy was cut in half and died at the scene. A passenger in the northbound car was also killed. Her husband, Greg, died the next day at Ivinson Hospital in Laramie of a broken back.

Actress Judith Hess, better known as Judy Tyler,
played Princess; SummerFallWinterSpring, on the
Howdy Doody Show. Miss Hess only lived for 23
years but did have roles in other movies such as,
'Jailhouse Rock' with Elvis Presley.
Judy was an attractive little actress and there
doesn't seem to be any of her phtographs around.
Can anybody find some to post? especially
ones of her in costume portaying the little Princess!
~Harve

Stumbled across this site. I can't really help you in finding posters etc. other than to direct you to Elvis memorabilia. I had a large coffee table book that featured Elvis' movies. There was a great large photo on set of Elvis and a very beautiful looking Judy Tyler.
She died in a car accident at such a young age, and only shortly after filming Jailhouse Rock. I have heard that her death truly affected Elvis, and that he never forgot about her.
