by Melvin Bell I can't believe it !! FILMBUG has no listing for Edward Arnold. Filmug lists a lot of people hardly anyone has ever heard of, then....a very famous actor is not listed ! Get busy guys !! This movie is a great Story ! If it were remade today we would have another number one picture with Awards! BTW, I have always loved Franics Farmer ! Comment on this...

by Earl Your biography, while generally excellent, has several factual errors in it. I recommend reading the essay found here: http://hometown.aol.com/jmkauffman/sheddinglight.html for a wealth of previously undisclosed information about this gifted actress. Comment on this...

by Tammy I believe fRANCES farmer was very Bright. Thought very deeply about life. I believe she never really felt loved and longed to know what it really was. She felt safer in the imagination and thru her poerty. She knew from her up bringing that she had only herself to relie upon. When she let down her dtrong persona when she fell in love with odets and he basically abandoned her she was crushed to the point of I will not let love in again. She saw her mother as a bit batty but ahe loved her. she basically allowed herself to be her mothers pon untill she broke. By this time her spirit was about to desend-but that was all she had left. Her dad she loved and accepted him for who he was another pon of her mothers who unlike herself would easily bend which ever way he had to to please mama. She just wanted to be understood and never really got the support she needed. Comment on this...
