Yes, he was perfect in his performance. Debbie Reynolds once said that she was crying sitting underneath a piano because she could not get a certain step. Along came Fred and asked her why she was crying. She told him and he invited her to watch as he rehearsed. She found out that perfection only comes by repeating and repeating what you are doing. His female partners stated that their feet would be blistered and bleeding after rehearsing with him. Yes, he was a perfectionist and how we all love him for it.
