Penny Singleton Forum

| by Robert Vaughn Jr. I'm sending this email from Bagdad as I'm serving as an Infantryman in the Washington State Army National Guard. A couple of days ago, between operations, I happened to stumble across a small picture of Penny Singleton which listed the date of her passing. Her timeless beauty reminded me of my own wife and lead me to search the web for more information on her life and career. I have come across both her site and her neice Elizabeth Wittelsbach's site, and have enjoyed learning more of Penny, her career, and her family. Last week, when we lost one of our Company members in a gun fight on Hifa Street Bagdad, I was reminded of how brief our time is on this earth is. Penny, seemed to be one that really "leaned into life" and found the best in it. Learning that Penny had also been part of the USO tour has added to my respect for her lifes work.
