Glenne Headly has built a prestigious body of work that included diverse roles in both drama and comedy in film, theatre and television. She will next appear opposite Stanley Tucci in Paul Mazursky's Winchell for HBO and opposite Naveen Andrews in Mira Nair's My Own Country for Showtime.

Her feature film work includes roles in John Herzfeld's 2 Days in the Valley opposite Danny Aiello, Steve Herek's Mr. Holland's Opus opposite Richard Dreyfuss, Alan Rudolph's Mortal Thoughts opposite Bruce Willis, Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy opposite Mr. Beatty, Frank Oz's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels opposite Steve Martin and Michael Caine and Robert Benton's Nadine opposite Jeff Bridges.

On television she has garnered two Emmy nominations for work in Angelica Huston's Bastard Out of Carolina and Simon Wincer's Lonesome Dove. She has also appeared in Jim McBride's Pronto opposite Peter Falk, Fielder Cook's Seize the Day opposite Robin Williams, and Roger Spottiswoode's And The Band Played On opposite Matthew Modine.

Her extensive theatre work includes many productions with the famed Steppenwolf Theatre, where she was a long-standing member, as well as productions at the Goodman Theatre, Northlight Repertory, Wisdom Bridge Theatre Company. The St. Nicholas Theatre, Academy Festival Theatre, the Apollo Theatre, and the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Off-Broadway she appeared in Extremities, The Philanthropist and Balm in Gilead while on Broadway she appeared in Arms and the Man opposite Kevin Kline and Raul Julia. She has received four Joseph Jefferson awards, three Joseph Jefferson nominations and one Theatre World award for her work in the theatre.
