by Gayle Richards need to know what movie Bill Holden played in and the scenes are from the Orient. Was at a party tonight and it somehow came up in discussion. I know that Marlon Brando was in "Sayanora" as was Red Buttons. Been racking my mind on this one. Can anyone help! Please and thanks. Comment on this...

by Lorraine C I agree that William Holden was a gorgeous man.Bill`s looks and sex appeal were approachable. low-key and sweet-not mysterious and aloof like Cary Grant. I adore Bill`s mix of ruggedness combined with a casual, courtly refinement. and intelligence. Bill was manly without being macho but not afraid to show he could be sweet, gentle, sensitive, tender and vulnerable. It was very sad about how he died alone.IMHO,Bill was the finest film actor of his generation and somewhat underrated in comparison to other classic film actors. Bill was blessed with the inate gift of being able to seamlessly enter the heaet and soul of his characters and actually become them on screen. Bill`s seamless ,natural, understated style of acting made it look so easy that it looked as if he wasn`t acting, which is one of the main reasons I think he is somewhat underrated. Bill left us a beautiful legacy in the body of his film work and his conservation/humanatarian work in Kenya. Lorraine Comment on this...

by Donna Marina I cannot believe that I'm the first to comment on this forum! What's up with y'all? This man was so handsome it's untrue! But what a sad end he made to his life. The demon drink got him and ruined his looks and his talent, like so many other actors. So glad that we still have his presence on screen to remember him. Comment on this...
