| by Joanna Oznowicz-Davis March 22/2005 To his credit, it must be noted that Bill Finley did more to earn the right to call 'Faust' his, than paul williams has done his entire career. Example....to this day, Barbra Streisand continues to take verbal credit for the lyrics Williams supposedly wrote for Evergreen. Now, I'm hardly encouraging him (williams) to electrocute Ms. Streisand infront of an audience. But why has he never simply just gone to her and simply informed her that she's taking credit for work he did, and not to do it anymore. As it is, Barb has williams mistaken for a welcome mat. No one can ever make that same claim about Winslow. To that end, I have only this to say... *** FAUST- Title work- copyright 1974 - Words and music by W. Leach**** Comment on this... |

| by Frank Phippen I just finnished watching Mission to Mars again tonight for the 3rd time and I noticed something about the ending. It doesn't sit very well on my mind because the ending almost protrays that Jim McConnell "Gary Sinise" dies. If you notice when the tubes come down and the liquid flows over/down his space suit, the little golden wisps. He struggles with the whole breathing aspect, and then finalyy lets go. Notice the blank expression on his face, and how "life flashes before his eyes". The last thing that he remembers is his wife. The lady that he loves and holds close to his heart. The music doen's help to convey this opnion, cause its to happy (almost a chromatic scale), but I think that the directior wanted the ending to go 2 ways (pas-oss mistic) Please e-mail me with your comments.
