Elizabeth Rogers was an american actress. Born Betty Jayne Rogers in Austin, Texas she is famous for being the replacement of Lt. Uhura in some episodes of the 1960s Television series Star Trek. Suring the 1970s she also appeared in a string of Irwin Allen produced disaster films including The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno as she was a good friend of Allens. Her last maajor motion picture was An Officer and a Gentleman in 1982. She died from multiple strokes and lung cancer on November 6, 2004 in Tarzana, California aged 70.
