Acting runs in 23-year old Jonny Lee Miller's family. His great-grandfather was a well-known Edwardian actor, and his grandfather was the distinguished stage and screen actor Bernard Lee, best remembered for his role as M in the James Bond films.

At the age of 17 Miller left school to pursue a career as an actor. Since that time he has appeared in numerous television programs in his native England, including Prime Suspect 3, Inspector Morse and Itch, directed by Beeban Kidron. On stage, he has been seen in productions of Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Our Town and Beautiful Thing.

Miller made his feature film debut as a rebellious computer whiz in Hackers, and then put in an unforgettable performance as Sick Boy in Danny Boyle's international hit Trainspotting. He recently completed filming Gillies MacKinnon's World War I drama Regeneration, in which he stars opposite Jonathan Pryce, James Wilby and Tanya Allen. Jonny Lee Miller will appear next in Plunkett & Macleane with Liv Tyler and Robert Carlyle.
