I Remember Ms Remick (Tue Sep 2, 2008 4:36pm ET)report post
by Bill
The other day I was watching a movie with Ms Remick in it and I stated to the people around me, I remember her, I waas in a movie with her when I was in college. I was privalidged to have some time with her talking about the trade etc. To a young man from Cinn. Ohio she was pleasant kind and helped me ask the questions she knew I wanted to ask but somehow had trouble.
I returned home and told my mother of my experience and how Ms Remick reminded me of her. Boy did I get a feast for dinner. I agree with all comments, I have never read a bad one.

Hey Buck, Lee is an ACTRESS not an ACTOR! Ha. I totally agree with you on her beauty and talent...Wild River is the very best!

Why is Lee Remick so hard to forget? Is it her eye? her smile? It's almost haunting. Its been 15 years and some just can't seem to let her go. Maybe because we feel robbed and the unfairness of that keeps us holding on.

She was like a shooting star and one of the most naturally talented actresses to ever stand in front of a camera. If you have any doubt get a copy of Wild River and you will be blown away. She will break your heart, boy or girl young or old. She was a gift we were blessed with for just a short time but oh did she shine! Rest in peace Lee,

Yes, Wild River is the Movie that broke my heart looking into her eyes. I am not good at words...you are! You took the words out of my mouth in describing her and how we all felt about her.

The 24 years old Lee Remick in Wild River haunts me to this day. Her talent and absolute beauty are spellbinding. So young and basically untrained as an actor and the fact Kazan would not allow her to wear makeup make this performance magical. Her eyes, her voice the heart-warming innocence and strength she was able to portray will always stand-alone for me. I think she was a prodigy that was lost because of her beauty. If you haven't seen it, do so.

Recently I visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame and I came upon Lee Remick's star. I am a big fan of Lee Remick so I was really pleased that those resposible elected to recognize her talents with a star on the Walk of Fame. Out of all the stars I saw there, that is the one that pleased me the most.
