Susan Peters Forum

| by Shirley Beaudoin I was fortunate to meet Susan Peters in December of 1949 when she was in Detroit, MI for Barretts of Winpole Street. She was staying at the same hotel as my father and the hotel manager approached her upon her arrival and said "A young fan would like your autograph". (I was 17 at the time). I looked up and there was one of the most beautiful woman I had ever seen - she wore a royal blue long sleeved gown, with gold hoop earrings and a mink throw over her lap. Her complexion was flawless and she wore her hair long. I was awestruck to say the least. It saddened me to see her in the wheelchair and after she signed an autograph for me and I returned to the restaurant I couldn't help but cry. Within three years she had died at age 31 and at the time I though what a waste! Comment on this... |
